Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management from Ball State University; PHR (Professional in Human Resources) Certification
While working in retail during high school, a part-time HR Specialist position became available. When I was at Ball State I was motivated to switch my major to HR and pursue that field as a full-time career.
I meet with internal partners who have training or leadership needs while ensuring that external vendors are investigating course content and training options. This is all done so that training content meets the strategic needs of our Vice Presidents and Directors of HR.
What I like most is the variety and autonomy. It’s exciting to feel in demand, and to manage my own time to move these initiatives forward. There’s a lot of autonomy AND collaboration with my role, and I love that. It gives me true ownership of what my team brings to fruition, but gets stakeholders involved at the same time.
